A Day To Remember
This has been “The day” for me to remember. First, let me start this piece of work of mine with a wish to my very good friend Ganesh. Hi machi Happy Birthday. This also happens to be the first weekend of my job life. I took some good rest. Not tired because of work but because of the travel I have to do all 5 days. The past week was gr8 one though. Was feeling a lot lonely in the office for the first few days but thank god one of friends friend Mahen got placed thro off campus. Some heavy training for 5 days and thus came this beautiful day as a gr8 welcome relief. Got up by around 9 and had to go out for some minor shopping.
So whats so special then?? The special things were the ones that followed. I went to my Second Home SKNS PMC VV. Actually i went into the holy place, my beloved school, with a very heavy heart as one of my school junior who used play volley has undergone a Brain Tumor surgery. And i went there to give my collections that i was able to collect for the kid. Thank god the operation is a success. I pray God for the speedy recovery of the child. The special part of the day is yet to came. Here it comes. It was very nostalgic today. Its a very special place. Normally a child enters school at the age of 3, but I entered in that place when i was 6 months baby. I still remember the days I did my schooling in those huts of my school. Bhuvana Sister was our class teacher. It was gr8 fun in those days. That place is now the childrens’ park of our school. The school has undergone so many changes. Some of my friends actually don like going there as some feel they don’t respect that has to be given which at times is true. But i cant forget certain staffs who are highly responsible for what i am today. To name a few here goes the list Kousalya Sridharan, Shanthi Suresh, Prema Narayan, Palani Vel, Shanmugam Ayya(My shuttle coach), Guharini Bahini, Prema Didi, Suganthi Sister and so on…… I know how influencial they are in my life. Shanti Suresh Sister taught me the value of life and what to live for and Prema Narayan Sister taught me the importance of English and kindness which fetched me this job, Ayya taught me what i cherish a lot Shuttle Badminton, Bahini taught me what many have forgotten The HOLY SANSKRIT, Pt miss taught me the power of self confidence. The list ll go on and on so that the pages won’t be enough. I owe them a lot. I got some time off to meet those great people and spend some time. Who knows already many teachers who knew me well have left the school. I dont know if i could to meet these greats after some years.
I the evening I went to meet one who is very close to my heart, my Kutty Sister. She gave the a great finish to this superb day. People usually give it the phrase “Icing on the cake”. She read out 2 great Kavidhais for me. She is a great one. I have longed a long time for a friend for myself. I found it in her. She is the best. Thanks da chellam. This anna is always with u da.
Thus I thank the almighty for giving me such a wonderful day, moments to cherish and smile with satisfaction. And also thanks to those great staffs who are responsible for this good position of mine today. A small request to GOD-let funds keep flowing for that child, and blessings for a hale and healthy life.
Oh! that was a spectacular tribute.
